The romantic and beautiful Dieu Thanh Waterfall is one of the greatest waterfalls of Dak Nong Province. It is situated in the two communes Nhan Co and Quang Tan in Dak RLap District.
With its romantic beauty, Dieu Thanh Waterfall looks like a princess right in a virgin forest. If people invest and repair the falls, it will be an ideal tourist location and attracts a great number of tourists. For a long time, the fall has been sung in the forest although the surrounding environment has changed a lot. In addition to a great fall of about 30 meters high, Dieu Thanh Waterfall still has many small ones falling with their "mother" all day. The spume creates a cool fog screen covering all the rock mountain foot. In the foot of the waterfall, there is a large area of water and small rock-tops which creates hundreds of stream flows. In this waterfall, there are many deep caves and many big flat rocks for tourists to sit down and hide from the sunshine. They can sit, rest and have talks here. It is always cool because of the water. Standing on the top of the fall, tourist can have a view of a corner of Tây Nguyên (West of the Highland)s huge and imposing mountain and forest.
Dieu Thanh Waterfall is an exciting tourist location although it is located in a deserted forest. If tourist visit the fall in a season of "strong water", it looks wonderful. The sunshine hesitates to go through the water from the back, makes the white water more colorful. Standing in the coffee field, 200 from the falls, you can still feel the cool of the spume. With the height of 15-20 meters, Diệu Thanh attracts many tourists, especially the youth in holidays. In the season of "strong water" (from May to September), if people want to try carp, amur, just spread a net for about 30 minutes, they will have a wonderful pot of fish. On October and November, the water falls slowly so people can wade across the stream. An interesting thing is that on the left of Dieu Thanh Waterfall, there is a small fall which looks like its son talking and whispering with his mother all day...
