(TITC) - In the two years 2020 and 2021, due to the impact of the pandemic, Khanh Hoa tourism has witnessed a huge decrease in the number of visitors and revenue. Entering 2022, in addition to exploiting domestic tourism and welcoming international tourists with "vaccine passports", Khanh Hoa tourism has recovered and ready to fully reopen to international visitors.

Khanh Hoa Province has successfully implemented the plan of welcoming domestic tourists with the stimulus program themed "Khanh Hoa people travel Khanh Hoa province" from October 1, 2021, and programs " Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam", "Safe travel to Vietnam", "Nha Trang Sea calls".
In particular, Khanh Hoa is one of the first localities to joint in the pilot plan to welcome international tourists from November 2021. In parallel, there are communication and promotion activities about Nha Trang tourism to key domestic and international tourism markets.
Thanks to that pioneering, Khanh Hoa tourism has achieved very good results in the last 3 months of 2021 and the first months of 2022. Khanh Hoa has attracted more than 37,500 visitor arrivals during the period of New Year holiday and 98,600 arrivals during the Lunar New Year holiday. Room occupancy rate reached more than 72%. Total tourism receipts is estimated at 524.3 billion VND.
For international tourists with "vaccine passports", as of February 20, 2022, Khanh Hoa has received 48 flights from Russia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia… Most international tourists expressed their satisfaction with the quality of products and services as well as assurance safety measures for tourists during their stay in the province.
With the experience gained from the pilot plan to welcome international tourists with "vaccine passports" recently, Khanh Hoa tourism is confident and always ready for a full reopening in the new normal when allowing by the Government, expected from March 15, 2022.
In 2022, Khanh Hoa Province strives to welcome more than 1.2 million visitor arrivals, including 1.16 million domestic arrivals and 40,000 international arrivals, tourism revenue reached VND 4,000 billion.
Throughout 2022, Khanh Hoa tourism industry will strengthen the implementation of communication activities, promotion, and stimulus to attract tourists. In addition, the application of digital technologies helps to spread the image of Khanh Hoa tourism.
The province will focus on key international tourist markets with a large number of visitors to Khanh Hoa in recent years, with a moderate distance, the ability to recover soon such as: Russia, Korea, China, Malaysia, India...
