(TITC) - From 5th to 9th October 2023, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee will organise Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival 2023 with the theme “Come to the Non Nuoc Region”

Ban Gioc Waterfall is located in the UNESCO-recognised Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark. According to the plan, the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival 2023 is organised to introduce and promote the image of the land and people of Cao Bang in general, especially introducing and promoting National Scenic Site of Ban Gioc Waterfall to domestic and international friends, contributing to promote values of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark.
This is a cultural and tourist festival, a bridge to meet, interact and exchange experiences among regions, enriching and deepening the traditional cultural values of Cao Bang Province in general and Trung Khanh District in particular.
The Festival is expected to have the participation of representatives of leaders of a number of ministries, branches and central agencies; Representatives of leaders of Cao Bang Province and affiliated units and localities; districts twinned with Trung Khanh District, tourism businesses across the country. Cao Bang Province also invited a number of delegates of the Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi; representatives of Dàxīn District and Jingxi City, China.
The festival includes exciting and attractive activities such as: Opening night art programme; Water procession ceremony to pray for peace and prosperity country, timely rains and favourable weather; display booths introducing products and cuisine of Cao Bang province (Vietnam), district of Dàxīn, Jingxi City (Guangxi - China); photo exhibition "Beauty of the Non Nuoc Region”, etc.
Sports activities and folk games such as: Tossing cloth balls, pushing sticks, lày cỏ, blind-man's-buff, kayaking, chestnut peeling contest...; programme "Then Singing - Gourd lute with the participation of 1,000 people"; Trung Khanh "Chestnut garden experience" week (Cao Bang)...

Since its organisation in 2017, the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival has become an annual festival that has attracted more than 300,000 people to attend. People and tourists attending the Festival often prioritise visiting Ban Gioc Waterfall, Truc Lam Ban Gioc Buddhist Pagoda, Nguom Ngao Cave, Mat Than Mountain (or Eye-of- God Mountain), historical and cultural relics, and community tourism villages, etc.
