(TITC) - On 16th October 2023, in Ha Noi, the Department of Tourism of Ha Noi held a press conference to announce the organisation of Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 with the theme "Discovering the beauty of Ha Noi".

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of Ha Noi Department of Tourism said, Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 aims to develop and promote tourism in Ha Noi in particular and Vietnam in general. The festival also honours the traditional ao dai of the Vietnamese people, to become a unique and attractive tourism product of the city. This is also an opportunity for Ha Noi’s tourism businesses to promote and cooperate with artisans and ao dai fashion designers to build unique tours. Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 is an activity to promote the Capital's tourism image as a "safe - friendly - quality - attractive destination", attracting people, domestic tourists and international friends, gradually positioning itself as an annual activity of the Capital's tourism.
Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 takes place in 3 days (from 27th - 29th October) at Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street area, Ba Kieu Temple flower garden, Dinh Tien Hoang street, Le Thach street, Octagon House. The Opening Ceremony will take place on 27th October themed "Discovering the beauty of Ha Noi" which is a combination of music, lights and ao dai performances from the North - Central - South regions.
Ao dai collections by designers from all over the country such as Viet Bao, Quang Hoa, Cao Minh Tien, Ngoc Han, Thanh Hai, Y Van Hien, Dung Nguyen, Hoang Ly, Vu Thao Giang and many more Ao dai brands such as OZ Design House, La Sen Vu, Kien Anh... will be performed at the event.

During the Ha Noi Tourist Ao Dai Festival 2023, on Dinh Tien Hoang street, Ly Thai To monument, Le Thach street, the Organising Board will arrange 60 booths to promote and introduce products of designers and brands of ao dai from the North - Central - South regions. Also at this location, tourism businesses, airlines, hotels, and destinations introduce tours, routes, and travel services with preferential policies and promotions, thereby delivering to tourists the best tourism products, suitable to the demands and tastes.
One of the highlights of the event is the art performance, ensemble performance and ao dai parade of the Ha Noi Women's Union. The ceremony will have the participation of 1,000 people from agencies, units, businesses and people, including representatives of about 50 typical families of Ha Noi.

Within the framework of the festival, many unique cultural and artistic activities will take place such as: Music night "Colours of Ha Noi" on 28th October in the Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden area; Space for exhibition, display booths, product introduction; Space for photo material exhibition; Space for information, promotion, and introduction of tourism tours, routes, products, and services; Community Ao Dai Path "Walking on Sword Lake"; space for displaying and introducing products - a place where hundreds of years of memories remain; “Hundred Flowers Walking” Parade…
Within the framework of the festival, there is also a discussion on "Orientation and development of ao dai in the community and connecting tourism" that will take place on 29th October; musical art programme "City Rhythm" and other side activities.
In 2023, Ha Noi is estimated to welcome 23 million tourist arrivals (of which, domestic visitors are estimated to reach 19 million arrivals, an increase of 10% compared to 2022, international visitors are estimated to reach 4 million arrivals, exceeding the set plan by 1.33 times and increasing by 2.66 times compared to 2022).
