Hong Moutain (Pink Moutain is located in Hoa Thanh – Bac Binh district) is one of four ideal places for the paragliding sport. Because of its altitude of 236 meters and the 10 kilometers of coast, it is the best area for landing. Many people choose here, especially in the summer, to practice and experience the enjoyment of this sport.
Mr. Lam Ha, a paragliding athlete shared when he experienced a flight along the coast of Hong Moutain “ This mountain is not too high and located right next to the coast, it is covered a unique “coat” by wild nature and magnificent volcanic deposits from millions of years ago. For years, the sea wind brought pink sand and white sand up to the mountain and created some sandy depressions between the cliffs and the woods. Therefore, the locals named it a homely name “ Hon Hong” (Pink Hill). Flying from above and looking down at the nature that covers the mountain, there is a blended picture of the pink and white color of the sand, the blue of the sea, and the green of the forests. At the foothill, there is a curvy beach with the blue of the ocean, creating a beautiful nature picture.
Paragliding athletes are preparing for a paragliding flight from Hong Moutain
On the 10 km coast along Hong Mountain, there are many clean and beautiful beaches having unique names such as Bai Oc, bai Ganh, bai Xep, bai Doi, and bai Chua. Right at the foothill is Bai Xep – the beach with many stacked rocks and stones, making a rich diversity of shapes. On stormy days, there are many silver waves mashed hard on the rocks, however, this mountain stands still like it is accepting the tough challenge from Mother Nature. In the dry and windy season, Hong Mountain looks wilder with a long-stretched desert and a few green areas of forests. However, thanks to the location, altitude, and wind direction, Hong Mountain has become an ideal space that has attracted many people who like to take risks and explore new things, especially paragliding.
Mr. Hoang Hai Long (Hoa Thang commune) shared: “In the summertime, Hong Moutain has become more beautiful. Dozens of paragliders from the top of the mountain fly down and land slowly on the beach at the foothill like a flock of huge falcons.”
Many foreigners who have participated in this sport said "Hong Mountain is a beautiful landscape, a perfect landing area with an appropriate height. Moreover, while flying from above we can enjoy nature's beauty, the color of the wide ocean, the green of the woods, the pink and white color of the sand, the golden sunshine, and the brown of the stones." With these advantages, Hong Mountain not only becomes a fascinating attraction but also draws many travelers who love paragliding and exploring new things. All Hong Moutain scenes are colorful natural pictures that visitors cannot skip on their next trips.
