According to the report of Chau Doc City People's Committee, in the first quarter of 2023, Chau Doc city's socio-economic development continues to develop. In particular, tourism activities flourished, in the first 3 months of the year, the city welcomed 2.45 million visitors (up 41.86% over the same period, reaching 59.76% of the plan in 2023). The number of guests staying was estimated at 13.5% of the number of visitors (reaching 112.5% of the plan). Total local budget revenue is estimated at over 166.7 billion VND (reaching 34.48% of the provincial estimate, 33.78% of the city's estimate, reaching 92.53% over the same period). Investment and construction works and projects are interested, urged and accelerated, especially key projects and works. Social security work is well done. National defense - security, social order and safety are maintained.
Party building and political system building are concerned and directed in terms of politics, ideology, organization and morality; creating political determination and consensus within the Party Committee; strengthening the trust of cadres, party members and people in the Party committees and authorities; creating a driving force for the city's socio-economic recovery and development.
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of all levels of Party committees, local authorities and units in the city in implementing the plan of political tasks in the first months of the year with many achievements. In order to successfully carry out the tasks of 2023, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that all levels of Party committees, local authorities, and units closely follow the resolution and plan in 2023 to actively implement the assigned tasks; strive to achieve and exceed the set targets. Accordingly, improving the quality of propaganda, sticking to the grassroots reality, promptly propagating and creating consensus among the people in the implementation of the city's political tasks. Continuing to implement Conclusion 21/KL-TW (term XIII) on accelerating the building and rectification of the Party and political system; resolutely preventing, repelling and strictly handling cadres and party members who have degraded in political ideology, morality and lifestyle, showing "self-evolution", "self-transformation", in association with continuing to promote learning practice and follow Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style.
