(TITC) - Tanya Shami, a tourist from Australia and a travel photographer who loves visiting temples and pagodas around the world found the charm of Ninh Binh Province on her final day in northern Vietnam.

Tanya Shami shared on Escape magazine about her amazing and unexpected trip to Ninh Binh. Never has she found Vietnam’s “undiscovered” destination stuns in the North of Vietnam.
The trip with the press delegation in 2019 brought Tanya and a group of photographers and content creators from Ha Noi to Ninh Binh (Vietnam) for a week. It was at the final destination that Tanya took a beautiful photo of Bich Dong Pagoda in Ninh Binh. Bich Dong is an ancient pagoda built on Truong Yen limestone mountain range in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province.
The pagoda was built in 1428 and is located in the Trang An Landscape Complex which has been ranked as a special national relic and recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage in 2014. Along with Tam Coc, Bich Dong Pagoda has formed a beautiful miracle, combining nature and people to form a unique architectural complex imbued with traditional Vietnamese culture.
Bich Dong Pagoda is where many cultural and historical values of the nation are kept. With its unique architecture, the pagoda is considered one of the architectural wonders of Vietnam and is a sacred temple that every year pilgrims keep coming back for sightseeing.

“Although I had been to Vietnam twice before, I hadn’t travelled to this area in northern Vietnam so it was exciting experiencing a location I hadn’t seen many photos of and didn’t have any expectations of”, stated Tanya on Escape.
“Ninh Binh definitely feels like an escape from hectic Ha Noi and is still a rather undiscovered destination. I love being able to experience a landscape and culture that is just so different to Australia.”
All the temples here are colourful and architecturally diverse. Tanya highly appreciates the scenic and art form of the pagoda. Besides, Tanya also suggested Hang Mua (Ninh Binh) as one of the other interesting experiences in Vietnam.
It's worth the walk up 500 steps to the viewpoint at the top of Hang Mua (Ninh Binh). Only 15 minutes from the temple and offers 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside. One of the most loved activities in Ninh Binh is boating along the river. Here, visitors will be shared the local culture by boaters along the river, across the beautiful limestone mountains and into the cave to discover the inner beauty of the majestic nature here.

Mua Cave is located at the foot of Mua Mountain with the shape of a large upside down bell, about 800 sqm wide. Mua Cave is also a tourist attraction located in the core area of Trang An Landscape Complex. It will be a pity if visitors can't go to Mua Cave once in Ninh Binh, get in an unique place to see the panoramic view of Tam Coc from above and row the canoe along the Ngo Dong River.
