The island district of Con Dao in the southern province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau has implemented many discount packages to stimulate tourism during the low tourist season at the end of 2024, said the Management Board of Con Dao National Tourist Area.

Accordingly, accommodation establishments are offering room prices of 10-30% lower than the listed price. Some accommodation establishments also give away service vouchers and incentives for loyal customers. Many accommodation establishments not only reduce room rates but also add incentives such as free meals, free scooter to visit the island, free airport or pier pick-up/drop-off and free shuttle to the center of Con Dao.
In addition, many accommodation establishments also have a QR code scanning program for loyal customers with a 10% discount policy when customers use the service for the second time; and a 5% discount for relatives and friends of loyal customers.
Regarding transportation, Phu Quoc Express high-speed Boat Company reduces tickets to 45,000 VND on the Tran De - Con Dao route until December 5, 2024.
Notably, 2024 is the 239th year that Con Dao district organizes death anniversary of Mrs Phi Yen, a famous folk cultural activity in the South.
The anniversary will include an array of activities, scheduled to take place from November 9 to 18. In addition to the ceremony with traditional rituals, there are also many exciting activities of the festival.
On this occasion, the Management Board of Con Dao National Tourist Area and Con Dao National Park also opened many trekking tours through the forest with many activities to experience the unique forest and sea ecosystem, camping combined with picking up trash and cleaning the environment.
In the first ten months of 2024, the number of visitors to Con Dao reached nearly 570,000, equivalent to same period last year, of which about 21,700 were international visitors, with revenue of more than 2,100 billion VND./.
