My Khe beach in central Vietnam has been named among the top 10 best beaches in Asia, as voted on by readers of the renowned travel website TripAdvisor.

The beach, which runs from the base of the Son Tra peninsula to the Marble Mountains, comes in at number eight on the Travelers’ Choice’s Best of the Best Beaches for 2023.
Out of 2,609 reviews on Tripadvisor, there are 1,273 reviews that My Khe is a great beach, of which 876 are rated very good.
On TripAdvisor’s website, a reader from Malaysia praised My Khe as one of the best beaches that they have ever visited in Southeast Asia.
“The sand is soft and fine, there are plenty of seashells, gentle waves for swimming and wading, and lots of spots along the way for a drink or a beach chair under the shade. Great views up and down the beach,” another reader from the United States shared.
My Khe Beach is located in Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City, about 2km from the city centre. The beach is about 900m long, and one of the busiest among Da Nang’s beaches.
From My Khe beach, visitors can see the majestic Ngu Hanh Son Mountains. My Khe sea water is kept fresh and unpolluted, so it is very safe for recreational activities at sea. In addition, the beach has a rescue system on duty, day and night, ready to respond promptly when someone is in distress.
My Khe was also voted by Forbes magazine as one of the most attractive beaches on the planet, after fully meeting their criteria of convenience, being free for tourists, and boasting long and flat sand banks. Other factors include benefits such as getting plenty of sunlight, having waves suitable for sports, being safe for tourists, and featuring luxury resorts and international standard villas.
Rounding off the list of the top 10 best beaches in Asia includes Radhanagar and Benaulim of India, Kata Noi, Nai Harn and Chaweng of Thailand, Haeundae of the Republic of Korea, Kelingking of Indonesia, Yonaha Maehama of Japan, and Mirissa of Sri Lanka.
